At some stage in your life, you will feel all or one of these things just like I did!
When I was running my Real Estate Investment Consulting Business, I found I had no time to do the things I wanted to do.
The business was taking up all my time!
I had little time for my family, I had little time to catch up with friends and even while I was travelling, I was taking calls from investors, realtors and property managers, from all different destinations around the world. And that was no way to really enjoy travelling!
In a traditional business, you can close the door at the end of day and go home. In a job, when you finish for the day, you go home and enjoy your time with your family and friends.
While having a portable business is a great model, my business really didn’t afford me the luxury of unwinding on a vacation. I was still ‘on call’ while I was travelling as my business didn’t close down when I was on holiday, unlike a traditional business or a job.
Then I discovered a business model that gave me my time back!
I was prepared to do the training and I was committed to the process of learning new skills. This is when I recognised the power of this business model. It gave the leverage I needed over my time and qualified my investors. All at the same time!
Just brilliant!
I am no longer spending 3 hours with each and every prospective investor face-to-face.
Now that I have an online training program for these investors, I can send them directly to my website. This training will take them from where they are now to where they want to be.
By the time they get to sit down with me for their one-to-one consultation, they will have completed their workbook (an integral part of the training program), they will be educated, they will know what to expect next, and they will formulated some questions for their strategy session with me.
And if they are not ready for the strategy session or moving forward, they will still come away from this training process with a completed workbook and some questions for a consultation at another time.
This has completely given me back my time!
Everyone interested in investing through my business is directled to the online training first and has to complete the training and the workbook before booking a consultation with me.
Plus, I can access my online business model from anywhere in the world as long as I have my laptop and an internet connection.
It is just fantastic!
